Intentional Life in God

It is obvious to feel abused when someone takes advantage of you or tries to exploit you. You are left feeling manipulated and treated unfairly. When someone you trust steals your best friend, your connection, your contact, your position, your opportunity, you feel deceived and taken for a ride.

The natural reaction is hurt, anger, resentment, bitterness and sometimes even revenge.

Now, imagine the same situation for someone who remains humble under the mighty hand of God and waits for promotion that comes from Him in its due time (1 Peter 5:6). Imagine someone who knows that all things work together for the good for those who love God and are called according to His great purpose (Romans 8:28).

Do you think that their response would be any different? If that is how you would respond then it goes to say that you are a secure person in God because you know and believe that no one can take away from you what is rightfully yours.

Their abuse of your trust will not shake you.

Their bad character will not influence your good character.

Your joy will not be taken away; all because you live an intentional life of knowing, believing and trusting in your God who has called you.

Life becomes less complicated, less hurtful and more God-centered, more established in His love.

Come on then, let’s live the life we are called to live in HIM!

What is your reaction when an unlikely circumstance or situation? What keeps you afloat in times like these?
