Reacting to unstable people

"Experience the Word of God, in the power of the Spirit."

As a Pastor there are many challenges I have had to face in the last two years. With this role comes a lot of stretching, a lot of learning, and a lot of growing.

One of the areas I find stretches me in particular is dealing with unstable, or should I say, unplanted believers. Human nature dictates that we react rather than respond, that we guilt-trip rather than speak the heart of God.

Often times when we are hurt, we tend to hurt those around us. As leaders we have to remind ourselves; everyday, every week, every month, that we are dealing with flawed human beings just like us. Therefore regardless of how hurt we are, we need to show mercy and love, and be the bigger person.

When dealing with these people we always have a choice. We can either be vindictive or understanding. God will honor and reward your love and humility towards His bride.
