Day 9: DO NOT EMBITTER YOUR LEADERSHIP BY YOUR CHOICES

Psalm 106: 16 The people in the camp were jealous of Moses and envious of Aaron, the LORD’s holy priest.

The spirit of competition will eat you from the inside out. Whether you are comparing yourself to your family member, or your friend, or your leaders, comparison leads to judgement. Judgement is seeped in the sin of pride.

Friend, do not look at your leaders and compare yourself to them. God has appointed them! When you criticize and judge your leaders, you will face the same result that Aaron and Miriam endured. The forward movement in the camp was immediately arrested! Miriam was stricken with leprosy, and the entire congregation was forced to a dead stop until Miriam was mercifully healed.

Pray: God, give me the grace to never be jealous.

Dear friend, leaders are designed by God to bless you, to cover you and to help you grow. If you let dissatisfaction settle in your heart, you may miss out completely what the Lord had appointed for you! Do not embitter your leadership by your arrogance.

Psalm 106: 32 – 33 – At Meribah, too, they angered the LORD, causing Moses serious trouble. They made Moses angry, and he spoke foolishly.

Moses was frustrated by his constantly complaining people and responded in anger, instead of peace. In result, the man appointed by God to lead His people to the Promise Land was forced to only gaze upon its land before he was required to hand over his leadership to Joshua and die upon the mountain.

Beloved, do not make your leaders bitter. Instead, be a blessing!
