In this season of Governance, consider the life of Joseph:
Joseph is a very good example of governance. Yet his beginning didn’t start as a governor. Governance for Joseph began with a seed, placed in his heart by God, through a dream.
When he was sleeping, God gave him a dream. Joseph saw how wheat was bowing down to him. He saw the stars bowing to him. His beginning of governance started with a dream in his heart.
The grace to govern began when Joseph believed God’s heart for his life. May we enter the grace to see how God sees each of us!
Before you can exercise the grace of governance, there must be a seed planted in your heart, a perspective that governance is a God-breathed possibility.
Jesus declared, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” (Mathew 5:14)
You are a city.
God is saying you can function and produce results like a city produces. The way you are supposed to bear fruit is not the way an individual produces. You are the light of the world. The results that you can produce, the scale of it, is the size of a city!
By this decree, God is giving you an invitation to bear fruit of large scale production.
God desires His bride to produce results, to function like city, to be seen.
A city on a hill cannot be hidden. God did not call us to be a mere candlelight. He called us to be a city of elevation. An honoured city, one seen by all.
Candlelights can be blown out, but a city can arise as a definite challenge against the forces of this world.
Yet to govern in this end time season, there is a need for an Abrahamic grace to manifest in our generation.
To govern, we must manifest the order of kings.
When Jesus came, there was an authority of kingship upon Him. Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would reign.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
When Jesus came, He came in the grace as both priest and king.
This is your lineage, your legacy, the order of kings to which you have been called.
In the role of the priest, Jesus stood between the visible and invisible, interceding for the people, and this same Jesus also came as King! Governance is upon His Shoulders!
Now the book of Hebrews says Jesus came in the order of Melchizedek. (7:14). This same order, Abraham also accessed!
When Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek, and Melchizedek blessed him, there was an exchange of anointing and a grace was released. (Genesis 14:17)
For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, and to him Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything…See how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils! (Hebrews 7:1-2)
As Abraham aligned to the order of Melchizidek, Abraham walked wholly in the covenant grace of governance before his God!
Soon, kings started recognized Abraham as a king, yet Abraham didn’t have a crown. All Abraham had was a Melchizedek to whom he gave his tithes. (Genesis 14:18)
God is looking for a generation who understands there is an order that we must walk in to govern!
It’s time for the Bride to walk in the grace of governance!
To reign as priests and kings, the Bride must function in the order of Melchizedek, like Abraham, who, in pursuing the fullness of his blessing in God, brought his tithe to Melchizedek, and prospered.
