Oh No, Not Again!

One of the most daunting fears of life could be the fear of facing it- ‘AGAIN!’ It happened once, you thought it was over, you had dealt with it, but now looking behind your shoulder, there it is again! The very thing that you lost your sleep over is now chasing you again. You dread it, your heart is beating faster, you are losing your sleep, you lose you appetite, you get angry with everyone, and though the problem has not reached you yet, it’s already taking you down, even as you are asking God to take your life away!

During my prayer time, God asked me to speak to a generation that lives in fear of tomorrow, with anxiety turning to stress, stress to pressure, pressure to frustrations, to losing your prayer life, ending in depression and beyond.

After 400 years of bondage, one morning, the past let them go. Yes, the Israelites were free! They left with great celebration, with much riches, and when they were out, most of them didn’t know what freedom meant, because they were born slaves! The burden of taskmasters controlling their lives had destroyed them, working from morning to dawn making bricks. But finally, Moses- their “God-sent” savior was taking them out of their bondage. They had been slaves for so long that they had forgotten to think for themselves, for their lives were not their own. I wonder if they even knew what it meant to be free.

Just when everything was going well, enjoying their freedom, their deliverance – they walked to that point where they saw the Red Sea before them, an unanticipated hindrance. Change did not come easily; they were not told to expect challenges! To make matters worse, they turned back to see a huge army of Egyptian chariots and horses speeding towards to them. They were caught in-between. It was obvious their past had a stronghold on them and it was not willing to let go without a fight. They were terribly frightened! It was calling them back.

On similar lines, maybe you have taken that step in faith, but now your legs are failing and it’s pushing you to your knees. The devil is trying his stunt just one more time to get you, before you are gone out of his grip for good. But let me remind you, DON’T QUIT. THE DEVIL IS A LIAR! GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE!!! Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

What is that problem that is haunting you time and again? Is it addiction to pornography, alcohol, lewd thoughts, fear, an extramarital affair, anger or depression?

Let me remind you: whatever is raising its dirty head all over again in your life and is making you feel worthless and miserable is NOT the end for you. God has not given up on you. He is interested in you and HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH.

As I pray, the Lord is asking me to tell you that if you can shout a loud cry against the enemy that is knocking at your door, you do not have to live in fear inside your house! God is going to rise for you. The thought that you will have to live with this all your life is a lie of the devil.

If as you are reading this, you feel like a prisoner chained to your past & something is telling you that you are no good and you cannot go on, then you are being LIED to! I want you to know that you are not alone and that God will fight for you this battle ONE MORE TIME.

I want you to hear this from your God: “THE  EGYPTIANS YOU SEE TODAY, YOU WILL SEE THEM NO MORE!”  If you can cry out to God one more time and not give up, the Red Sea won’t be your coffin but your platform for God’s glory.  (For your reading go to Is. 54:14-18)
