Recently, a powerful Word\ was released on GodTV, a three-part series on building the Kingdom through godly wisdom.
To build a City, you must build with Wisdom.
Basically, here on earth, people build from places of personal ambition.
Jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.” (James 3:15-16)
According to the Bible, the opposite of selfish ambition and jealousy is Godly wisdom. To build the Kingdom of God, anointed builders must operate differently. Godly wisdom is essential for eternal purposes.
As Jesus stated, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Mathew 5:14). Therefore, to build our city well, we need godly wisdom.
Heaven’s Wisdom is Pure and Peace-Loving
“The wisdom from above is first of all, pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.” (James 3: 17)
Certainly, God’s wisdom is pure. Godly wisdom is peace-loving. It is active, visible and real.
When you love peace more than your right to win, or when you see an argument coming, and steer away from the topic, godly wisdom is in play.
If you cling to peace far more than fights, rights or might, you will build well. Jealousy and vain ambition will have no hold on you when you choose godly wisdom.
Godly Wisdom Yields
Godly wisdom is gentle at all times (not just when it is convenient).
Wisdom from Heaven means being willing to yield and let others win. With godly wisdom, there is no need to prove you are right. As our Lord Jesus declared, It is the meek who will inherit the earth! (Matthew 5:5)
Wisdom is Full of Mercy
To build anything of heavenly value, we must live full of mercy, operating like our Heavenly Father who fully loves each of us. This divine mercy is not just human kindness; mercy requires supernatural grace. If we ask the Father for grace to act with mercy, for those undeserving or not, the compassion of the Father will be ours. To fully give mercy, we need to sympathize with other’s point of view. Remember, true mercy is actionable, demonstrated by our good deeds.
In this world, some will surely love you and others may hurt you, but don’t let that change you. As a beloved of God, wisdom empowers us to live and act with great capacity. As we practice fairness, as we learn to think from other’s point of view, from this place of understanding, solutions come. Our sinful self-righteousness will surrender to a godly understanding. Our love will grow sincere when we genuinely love people through wisdom from above.
Sow Seeds of Peace and Reap Harvests Worth Building
James 3:18: “Those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness”.
As we sow seeds of peace, we activate the wisdom of God. Let’s sow seeds of peace generously!
Through our consistent applied godly wisdom, we will build for eternity. Truly to build a city, we must first become a city. May the Lord lead you as His anointed builders.
