You Can Have Perfect Peace

"Experience the Word of God, in the power of the Spirit."

Life has handed me my course of heartaches and trouble. The craziest of those times have been when I heard nothing from God. And I certainly have learned that God does not stop talking, it is we who stop listening. If that is the case then the reason why I did not hear him in the first place was dependent on my sensitivity to His voice.

And at times, your mind can be clogged with such troubles that your ears can be blocked with the wax of anxieties. At this point, when your world seems to be crashing all around you and your heart can’t seem to listen, you can easily miss out on what God is speaking. At that time, it is easier to believe the lies of the enemy who makes you panic in the obvious trouble.

At such turbulent times, dear friend, I urge you to hastily dash to your Bible. Read till the Word begins to speak to you. Because all that God wants to speak to you today is there written down for you in the Bible prepared before the foundations of the earth. And every time you pick up the Bible, believe what you see and live what you read.

I’d like to share with you this one powerful verse that has helped and continues to help us.

Isaiah 26:3 says, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

Three things I want you to observe.

1. You will have perfect peace. Perfect as in absolute, accurate, and complete. Am I downplaying this? Well, I didn’t say that, the Word of the living God says it and that settles it.

2. Your mind has to be stayed on God. That peace without any flaws comes from the fact that your mind is stayed on God. Stay means to remain in a specified position. To preserve, to be persistent and consistent with God. It is a continual process. Monthly. Weekly. Daily and every minute. If you have Jesus in your heart, you already have peace. You don’t need an extra peace, you just need to discover how to remain in God who is peace personified and that comes by trusting Him.

3. You can stay in God when you trust God 100%. When you put your trust in who your God is then it is easy to remain in God. vs. 4 says, “Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.” Sister, Brother, don’t do it for a day! Let’s remember to do it forever. Ever! As long as we are on this planet, can we decide to trust God completely? God is drawn to those who trust Him irrespective of their circumstances.

Every time you stay in God and trust God completely, you are then continuously denying the lies of the enemy that ring in your head. And that also means that when fire or flood comes your way, it does not shake you because you trust in the Lord who knows your end from the beginning. And therein you will find your perfect peace.

Where or in what have you placed your trust? How do you maintain your peace?
