From time to time, God has ignited many hearts to think, read, preach and pray for revival and that has been the story for hundreds of years already. Yet, I believe that the real fire is yet to be released. A dear friend of mine, Sis. BeBe Rail from the U.S., often reminds me about how God is taking us to the centre of the fire and it is at the centre of the fire where it is the hottest!
No matter how dramatic and large the other revivals have been, I am absolutely certain that the best is yet to come and I strongly believe that it will happen in our generation. However, there are many lessons we can learn from our past revivals that have taken place across the globe.
Help me take this message to this generation:
Birthed in You!
We always closely connect revival with masses but the truth is that masses need not necessarily mean revival. Let’s face the truth; God has always used one person for the move of God.
Revival to the masses is simply the overflow of the revival in you. Someone first caught the fire from the bush and then the fire is passed on to someone else and before you know it, the church is on fire. The fire in the church then overflows in to the city and before you realise the nation itself is on fire, but it still starts with us! Yes, my friend God wants it to start with you!
If this is the way it will be, despite your church, denomination, culture, colour or context, if you go on your knees and pray, God will birth a revival in YOU that will spread like fire in your church, denomination, city and nation!
But Not Only You!
Gone are the days of a one man show; God’s got an army on the rise everywhere. When people are shocked to see me minister at this young age, I tell them that it’s happening everywhere. Our ministry has been able to, by God’s great grace, train 120 amazing young leaders in the last year.
I am humbled to know personally many young leaders who are being used more powerfully in India, Australia, Middle East, Malaysia, UK, Canada and U.S., to name a few, all below the age of 25 itself. It is happening everywhere; these are the end times, when YOU realize that it paves way to unity and much expected and awaited revival.
As much as it is true that God has always used one person to initiate revival, we have also seen that revival can dwindle away when it is only about that one person. To see God’s revival taking over churches and land, we need to see selfless people willing to be God’s hands and tongue.
It is Beyond You!
The other day in one of the conference that I ministered in, I opened my Bible to share the word of God and suddenly felt the Holy Spirit take over. I had to shut my mouth and let God take control and there dozens of people were healed from the first to the last day of the conference. I felt the Lord say, ‘I have compassion; I want to heal my people’ Sadly, some people were upset about it but I enjoy letting God do what he wants than to go according to our prefixed agendas.
Before a breeze of revival blew over one of our meetings in Dubai, the Lord asked me to tell the congregation about how they need the revival infrastructure. I said, ‘Lord, these people in Dubai have the best halls, speakers, instruments, etc. What are you talking about Lord?’ The Holy Spirit then explained how it was the infrastructure of mind that was traditional. And God does not pour new wine into old wineskins. If YOU are ready to step into Revival, expect God to blow your mind!
It’s HIM in You
Is it not interesting that despite the endless prophecies of the major and minor prophets, God would still come and deliver the plan to Mary and wait for her to say, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And it was only then that the angel left her.
Does it excite you that the plans and promises of God that are from before the foundations of the earth are waiting on YOU! One of the most powerful verses in the Bible to me is, Romans 8: 19, “The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.”
Yes, my friend, God is waiting for the Ezekiels to prophesy over the dry bones and command the winds to blow, and then there will be a shaking that will lead the dry bones to become an army! Yes, God is waiting for a fully surrendered YOU for HIM to be manifested through! Are you willing to pay the price in prayer and consecration to God? Let’s gear up!
