Late Dr. Dhinakaran was a great General of God that India has seen till date. His life and ministry influenced millions of souls and many thousands of pastors.
Once while meeting a young leader, uncle asked him how much of the Word of God would he read daily.The young man quickly said three chapters a day and five chapters on a Sunday.
He gently replied, “Son, if you want to be used as a mighty man of God, you must read at least hundred pages of God’s word everyday.”
Now I write this not to establish a rule of any sort but to highlight the truth of how much importance was given to consuming the Word of God.
The Word of God is our contact with God. And it is God’s point of contact with us.
To know and speak the mind of God you must first be consumed by the Word.
God’s Word is a tool in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
By letting that word become an integral part of our being you begin to abide in Jesus and Jesus in you.
When the Word of God dominates your mouth and your mind then it will dominate your heart and influence your conduct, behaviour and character.
Word dominating you is the Lordship of Christ in you.
Allow everything of God to be built into you. Then the Word will rule the carnal nature.
Christ and the Word are one. Obeying His Word is obeying Christ Himself. We are made alive in the Spirit by the Word living in us. Meditation on the Word of God brings the revelation of Christ thereby releasing the power of Christ.
Sow the Word of God with tears of prayer in the soil of your heart.
The Word of God will then prove to be the power of the Spirit to you and the world around you.
