This Easter season, the Body of Christ has celebrated around the world the gospel, that our Lord Jesus died for us, for our sins, that we may have salvation and redemption by His Blood. None of us had the capacity to save ourselves, so Jesus died for us. How beautiful it is to celebrate the Cross and the Resurrection of our Lord together!
On Good Friday, Revive Nations Global Church recieved a Word from Heaven: Have you ever wondered what was in the heart of Jesus as He looked to the Cross?
The Word is our Greatest Gift
In John 17:14, Jesus prayed to the Father saying, “I have given them Your Word.”
Each time we take the bread and the blood, we celebrate the greatest gift Jesus has ever given: His Word.
Jesus said in Mathew 4:4 Man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God.
Even after His Resurrection, Jesus returned to give His disciples more of the Word ( Acts 1:3), for Jesus taught, Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Matt. 24: 35, Isa. 40:8)
The Word is our anchor, our certain hope. (Heb. 6:19, Ps. 119:114, Ps.130:5). Our effective prayers come from the Word in our spirit; the Word gives us legitimacy with our prayers. The Word gives us strength to go before God. By the Word, we approach the throne of grace.
Inside of you, as His beloved, is the Lord’s greatest gift: the Word (1 Pet.1:23)
The Word Made Manifest
As Jesus prayed in John 17:14, He shared a powerful truth: the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
It’s important for a child of Jesus to remember that you are supposed to be hated by the world. Jesus said if they hate Me, so they will hate you. (John 15:18)
Make peace with this truth: As a child of God, we are supposed to be persecuted and mocked by the world.
If you have Jesus, truly, you will be hated by your non-Christian friends, your boss, your cousins. It is normal for them to hate you, because when Jesus manifests through you, the truth inside of you will challenge the lie inside of them. The light inside of you cannot co-exist with the darkness in them. And if you disagree with them, you cannot walk with them, for the Bible says, How can two walk together unless they agree? (Amos 3:3, Eccles. 4:9-12).
It is normal for you to be misunderstood, even by your closest family members, because of the Word you carry. All this, they did to Jesus first.
Surely, Jesus has prepared us well, for how the world will treat us who believe. (Matt. 10:22, 24:9-10, Luke 6:22, 21:17, John 15:18-19, 23-25)
Don’t Take them Out!
Though we might all be asking the Lord, Come Lord Jesus! Maranatha! Come soon! Take us out, Jesus prayed, I do not ask that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one. (Jn. 17:15).
The Lord Jesus did not pray we would disappear from troubles and live a comfortable life! Isolation is not what Jesus was asking for from the Father. Instead, the Lord Jesus sends us to this world who will hate us.
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves (Matt. 10:16)
To the people that will hate, mock and accuse you, to these, Jesus is sending us. Why?
We are the Light of the world. Light shines in the darkness. (Matt 5:14, Jn. 1:5)
Therefore, Jesus’ answer to hatred is not isolation. Nor is His answer to attacks, to flee. For the Lord sends us as sheep in the midst of wolves, praying, “keep them from the evil one.” (17:15)
When God is sending you out as a sheep amoung hatred, He is sending you out, knowing that in your weakness, His Grace is made manifest.(2 Cor. 12:9) Though wolves may surround you, the Good Shepherd will protect and keep you! (Ps. 23, Jn. 10:11, Rev. 7:17)
Be the Light that You are
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Ps .23:4)
It is the strength of every child of God, that despite every wolf that may surround us, the Lord is our backing.
Sheep who realize this, stop behaving as sheep, and start behaving as the Light they are.
Truly, we are not mere sheep. We are His sheep, the flock of His pasture, ordained to survive the wolves ( Jn 10, Heb. 13:20)
We are marked with the Blood of Jesus Christ. As His Sheep, we shall not just survive! We shall thrive!
The Father Mystery: I in Them and You in Me
Jesus prayed “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one even as We are one, I in them and You in Me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them even as You loved Me “(Jn. 17:20-23)
Our Jesus prayed for you and I, that we may be one, that our spirits would not be scattered. Our Lord, as He faced the Cross, prayed that as He would be in us, so also, the Father would be inside of us.
The Bible says we are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 16:19-20).
The desire of Jesus was that as the Father was in Jesus and we are in Jesus, that we would be one, restored by His Blood, to be one with the Father.
Jesus prayed that the Trinity would live inside of you!
His heart was that as the Father was in Him, and we are in Him, we would be one.
We are called to be Heaven on earth!
Let Patience Do Its Perfect Work
The Bible says, And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:4)
A child of God can be perfect, complete, lacking nothing. If the Father, Son and Holy Spirit live inside of you, surely, you will be perfect, lacking nothing!
There must be a steadfastness of patience that will increase inside of you. Let patience bring you to the conscious realization that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit, that you have Jesus inside of you, that you have the Father living inside of you.
As our Lord Jesus explained “If anyone loves me, he will keep My word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. (Jn 14:23)
Love has come down! The Lord will meet you at your point of obedience. As you keep His Word, heaven will come to you.
In this Resurrection season, may this Word bring you great joy! You are much loved. The heart of Jesus is for you to flow with rivers of living water (Jn 7:38), to abide in a place of great peace and healing, as you believe what our Lord has prayed.
As Hebrews 12: 1 challenges us, let us lay aside every weight and every sin that clings so easily, and run this race of endurance set before us, always looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith!
