The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. I believe the best way to train a toddler is by way of habits.  The online dictionary defines habit as “a settled or regular tendency or practice, especially one that is hard to give up.”
I realised as I am bringing up my one year old, it is easy for me to make him do things once I make him repeat. In other words, whether it is washing hands after playing or closing the bedroom door before sleeping- every activity that I repeatedly do in front of him or make him do becomes a habit for him.
Encouraging your children to develop good study habits from an early age is one of the most important things you can do as a parent.  It requires a lot of patience from the parents’ side too, but it’s definitely worth it.
So here is your tip for the month: Imbibe good spiritual habits – make your children read the Word of God, teach them the importance of prayer and worship, encourage them to recite Scriptures etc. These habits will soon shape their character and take them closer to their God ordained destiny!
