Yesterday (Day 9), we learnt how to honour our leaders, rather than compare ourselves to them. Today, Prophet Shyju exhorts us to consider the love and mercy of Almighty God, yet not allow familiarity to lead us away from His Heart.

Day 10: THE GOD OF MERCY LONGS TO RESTORE YOU
Psalm 106: 34 – 39 Israel failed to destroy the nations in the land, as the LORD had commanded them. Instead, they mingled among the pagans and adopted their evil customs. They worshiped their idols, which led to their downfall. They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters. By sacrificing them to the idols of Canaan, they polluted the land with murder. They defiled themselves by their evil deeds, and their love of idols was adultery in the LORD’s sight.
Every time you mix with somebody, you learn their ways. The Bible says bad company corrupts good character (1 Cor. 15:33).
Jesus mixed with sinners, but they became like Him, not vice versa.together? Jesus was with the prostitutes because they came to Him. If you are with a sinner, and you are behaving with the sinner, you should not be with them. Instead, bring them to church and let God change them, rather than letting your friends change you.
Pray: Lord, let them become like me.
The God of Love is also a God of Justice. Do not let familiarity of His love blind you to His justice.
Psalm 106: 40 says, That is why the LORD’s anger burned against his people, and he abhorred his own special possession.
God who is fierce in love can also be fierce in anger. Always keep running back to God.
Friend, sin always leads to bondage.
Ps 106:41 He handed them over to pagan nations, and they were ruled by those who hated them.
May your sins not make you be given over to those who hate you.
Make peace today.
Forgive.
Run away from sin right now.
Psalm 106: 43 Again and again He rescued them, but they chose to rebel against Him, and they were finally destroyed by their sin.
If you are brought low, look at your sin.
The God of Mercy longs to restore you to Himself.
Psalm 106: 44-46. Even so, He pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries. He remembered his covenant with them and relented because of His unfailing love, He even caused their captors to treat them with kindness.
God caused them to be pitied by all who held them captive by the abundance of His love.
Pray: Save us, O LORD our God! Gather us back from where we have wandered that we can rejoice in You. We praise the LORD, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting! May the abundance of Your love capture us today. Amen.
We hope this Bible Study blessed you richly! Share with your friends and may the God of all mercy draw you close to His side today!
