(Hey Parents, in this CRAZY time of COVID, Holy Spirit is sending all KINDS of HELP! The Lord is teaching people all around the world how to WORSHIP, and in this dark time, Jesus Lovers are going to shine BRIGHTER than EVER!

Please bring your children close and share this blog to encourage, teach and inspire our RN KIDS to love our Lord Jesus deeper than ever before!)

RN KIDS, a long time ago, before King Jesus was born, there was a God lover, a young king named David.

King David was having a tough time. It wasn’t hard like school being closed or new rules about crowds, or singing being BANNED at church. It was tough that other nations were trying to take over land God gave to His people.

When David was made king, Israel had enemies everywhere! There were angry warriors in the North wanting to fight, fierce armies in the South trying to invade and people in Israel were FREAKING out because some others from the East, the Philistines, were trying their best to take over too! No one felt safe. This was a big problem.

Everybody, in the whole country was asking the same question, “King David, what are you going to do?”

Now, (in case you didn’t know, but you probably do) King David was NOT born into royalty. His daddy, Jesse wasn’t a king and his granddaddy, Obed, was definitely not a king!

David was out tending the sheep, like usual, when SUDDENLY, Mighty Samuel the Prophet anointed him in front of his less-than-impressed 8 older brothers! As oil was poured all over his head, David was hand-picked by God to be next King of Israel! David didn’t have ANY practice as a king. David was JUST a shepherd boy!

David had lived in the WILDERNESS watching his daddy’s sheep. All by himself, David had discovered a secret: the MORE David worshipped and trusted God, the MORE battles David won! This secret is a key for us all. Here is some of his proof:

When David was a little kid, he fought off bears and lions and won. (1 Sam. 17:36)
When David was just a teenager, he fought a huge giant named Goliath and won (1 Sam 17).
When David was only thirty, he fought and won a royal city, JERUSALEM, which still stands today in Israel (2 Samuel 5)

So King David, whenever he was faced a problem, would stop, seek God, hear what to do, and do it. One thing David did the MOST was WORSHIP.

King David, he was very talented. When he wrote songs about how great God is, he taught his people how to worship God and win too.

The Psalms are the praise songs that David and a few other holy people wrote to worship God. They are found right in the middle of your Bible.

Now remember, King David, was having a tough time. In Psalm 68, he prayed, “Rise up, O God, and scatter your enemies. Let those who hate God run for their lives. Blow them away like smoke. Melt them like wax in a fire. Let the wicked perish in the presence of God.

“Run for your lives, all you hate God!” – David must have loved God big to write that.

“Melt them like wax in a fire!” – Can you stop wax from melting? Not while the candle is lit! Here, the king was crying for God to melt His enemies, those who were trying to take David’s kingdom, when God had been the one to give it.

King David then prayed: But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy. (Ps 68:3)

HOLD ON. Why does King David pray for God to deal with the bad guys and then tell believers to JUMP FOR JOY?

David sings:

Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the Lord— rejoice in his presence! (Ps 68:4)

Kids, take it from this Amazing King, Worship is a SUPER POWER! If you love God, then don’t be shy about it! Tell Him how AWESOME He is and let everyone around you know WHO you love and WHY!

You see, King David knew, that LOUD PRAISES declaring our GOD is AMAZING, is a TOOL for WAR! Instead of just shouting at the enemy, David trained his people to sing their heart out to God. And Israel won! And kept winning!

The Bible says, “When King David was settled in his palace, the Lord had given him rest from all the surrounding enemies!” (2 Sam 7:1).

Today, big and small believers alike, need to WORSHIP our MIGHTY God! Let’s shine bright in the darkness! May we WAR with WORSHIP like King David did! Click here to join Pastor Shyju as he worships like David did!.

May WE follow King David’s example, and win in every situation, as the Lord calls us to WORSHIP! LOVE and praise our KING JESUS! May our God get the GLORY He deserves!
