Jesus withdrew.
[vs15] But now even more the report about Him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear Him and to be healed of their infirmities.
[vs16] But He would withdraw to desolate places and pray.

Jesus withdrew from the demands of this world.
Jesus withdrew from the pressure to perform.
Jesus withdrew from people.
Jesus withdrew from fighting His enemies.
Jesus withdrew from fame.
Jesus withdrew from anything that was ahead of God ordained time.
And Jesus did withdraw very often.
If you are asking whereto, then, Jesus withdrew to the audience of the One! To His Father in Heaven, who even today, answers to those who seek Him in secret.
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 6:6 ESV
