Dear RN Readers, welcome to the exciting new part of the Preparing for the Midnight Hour series! In this Part 6, our beloved Pastor and Prophet Shyju Mathew teaches us how to seek God so that we may have access to the things of God and receive from God. Revelation 1: 12-13
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lamp stands, and in the midst of the lamp stands, One like the Son of Man.

Beloved, do you hunger for the Word?

Do you know the transformation that comes when the Word becomes our Daily sustenance? Do you understand how this Word prepares you as His Bride?

Here in this passage, we see the Lord Jesus, standing among seven candlesticks and speaking, the very same God who began all things in Genesis. His Word created everything.  When God created all things, He spoke and brought forth the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars and all creation.

At one point in this beautiful process, God stopped speaking and He, Himself went down, took that earth and from dust, created Man in His image and likeness, His favourite creation, a mirror image of Himself, as “male and female, He made them” (Gen 1:27).

The Bible then says, how every evening, God would go down into the Garden to walk among His creation, to have fellowship with Adam, whom He created. It was His manner. It was His heart.

In the Old Testament, centuries later, when God came down with His full glory before Moses, the people of God were so fearful, they begged not to continue, in case they die from that great sight (Exodus 20:19).

It is not surprising that in this passage in Revelations, the Lord Jesus comes down among humanity, to walk among His people, desiring to be among His Churches for God’s desire for His children has been the same since the Creation!

Given God’s deep desire for us, it’s critical we do not approach God on a surface level.

As children of God we must pay close attention to how we must seek God, that we may access the things of God and receive from God.

Think about Ezekiel’s experience with God:

Ezekiel 3:1 “And he said to me, “Son of man, eat whatever you find here. Eat this scroll and go, speak to the house of Israel.” So I opened my mouth and he gave me this scroll to eat. And he said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly with this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it”. Then I ate it and it was in my mouth as sweet honey.”

God is specific: “I don’t want you to just eat it, I want you to fill your stomach with it. So that when you speak, nothing but the scroll is coming up.”

For Ezekiel to complete his assignment, the scroll had to go deep inside him, past knowledge to the place of understanding.

God required the prophet to become saturated with the Word, so that as he opened his mouth, he could speak as the Voice of God.

The way you function, the way you are light and salt absolutely depends on your intake, so be full of the Word.

When Scripture has become part of you, you start functioning as a mouthpiece of God.

The starting position is to fall in love with the Author of that Scripture and be carried by the Author who desires our everything.

We need to digest the Scriptures through the revelation of the Spirit.

Beloved, may we know His nearness and consume His living scroll this day!  May we be led by the Spirit, and may our understanding deepen, that we could receive even more from our Lord’s Hand!

Beloved, may you be found under the Mighty Hand of God, and may His Presence cause you to rejoice, in Jesus’ Mighty  Name!  AMEN!
